Resumo: A pesquisa histórica investiga a invenção de Cora Coralina como Mulher-Monumento, analisando os discursos, os agentes e as instituições que disputam a produção da biografia hegemônica: a autobiografia tecida por Cora Coralina, a memória construída pela exposição do Museu Casa de Cora Coralina, a biografia escrita pela filha da poeta e a memória subterrânea engendrada em Goiás. A monumentalização de Cora Coralina como artesã e guardiã da memória, símbolo emblemático de Goiás, constitui uma das estratégias da instituição dessa cidade como histórica e turística. No estudo desse processo, destaco a atuação do Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional e da Organização Vilaboense de Artes e Tradições, esmiuçando a rede discursiva que estabelece os sentidos e os significados para os signos do passado inscritos na materialidade urbana Ver menos

Abstract: The historic research investigates the invention of Cora Coralina as Monument - Woman, analysing speeches, agents and institutions which' dispute the production of hegemonic biography: the autobiography weaved by the poetess, the memory build up by the Casa Cora Coralina Museum exhibition, the biography written by Cora Coralina's daughter and the subterranean memory engender in Goias. The conception of Cora Coralina as a monument representing the memory's artisan and guardian, Goias emblematic symbol, constitutes one of the strategies for the instituition of this city as historic and tourist. In the process study, I highlight the role of Institute of National Artistic and Historic Heritage and the Vilaboense Organization of Arts and Traditions, scrutinizing the discursive net which establishes the senses and meaning for the past signs written in the urban materiality Ver menos
