Resumo: A tese parte de três eixos estruturantes. O primeiro deles apreende a Associação Internacional dos Trabalhadores (AIT) como o ponto mais avançado e radical da organização dos trabalhadores com a intenção deliberada de criar um movimento internacional para superar o modo de produção existente e a criação uma sociedade alternativa ao capital; o segundo eixo estuda as duas principais correntes teóricas/políticas que enriqueceram a experiência da AIT por meio de seus embates: os anarquistas e os comunistas. O terceiro eixo retoma aquele que talvez tenha sido o principal debate e motivo de divergências dentro da AIT: a questão do Estado. De modo geral, o movimento vai no sentido de compreender os problemas constitutivos do Estado já em sua formação, no ponto de abertura das transformações do século XIX, e como estes revolucionários anticapital percebiam formas de superar os problemas colocados pelo Estado. Consequentemente, a persistência deste conjunto de problemas constitutivos ao Estado na contemporaneidade possibilita também apontamentos para a questão do Estado na etapa de crise estrutural do capital. Conclui observando a questão do Estado desde a abertura da etapa do imperialismo monopolista ainda no século XIX, passando pelos modos de regulação estatal tentados no século XX como possíveis saídas para o problema, o "consenso keynesiano" e o "pós-capitalismo soviético", terminando por elaborar estas questões na contemporaneidade, principalmente as limitações do Estado em ativar as funções corretivas ao capital que se apresentaram como especificidade de sua atuação histórica Ver menos

Abstract: The thesis is based on three structuring axes. The first of these apprehends the International Workingmen's Association (IWA) as the most advanced and radical point of workers' organization with the deliberate intention of creating an international movement to overcome the existing mode of production and the creation of an alternative society to capital; the second axis studies the two main theoretical/political currents that enriched the experience of the IWA through its struggles: the anarchists and the communists. The third axis takes up what was perhaps the main debate and reason for divergences within the IWA: the question of the State. In general, the movement goes towards understanding the constitutive problems of the State already in its formation, at the opening point of the transformations of the nineteenth century, and how these anti-capital revolutionaries perceived ways to overcome the problems posed by the State. Consequently, the persistence of this set of constitutive problems of the State in contemporary times also makes it possible to point out the question of the State in the stage of structural crisis of capital. It concludes by observing the question of the State from the opening of the stage of monopoly imperialism in the nineteenth century, through the modes of state regulation attempted in the twentieth century as possible solutions to the problem, the "Keynesian consensus" and the "Soviet post-capitalism", ending by elaborating these questions in contemporaneity, especially the limitations of the State in activating the corrective functions to capital that were presented as specificity of its historical action Ver menos
