Resumo: Para investigar as relações entre enclausuramento e deslocamento religioso feminino, esta tese apresenta um projeto de construção de um convento imaginário. Com isso em mente, selecionamos fragmentos de textos de autoria de monjas, freiras e ex-freiras católicas para debater a importância do aspecto espacial nos modos de viver e nas formas de expressão de mulheres religiosas. O espaço do convento é associado corriqueiramente a noções de enraizamento, solidez e sedentarismo. Trata-se, no modelo tradicional, de edifícios murados que cumprem com todos os quesitos que balizam a categoria de instituições totais (GOFFMAN, 1961). Contudo, a vida aventureira dessas religiosas se desvia de pressupostos homogeneizantes, oferecendo a possibilidade de confrontar narrativas estereotipadas sobre freiras e monjas. Deleuze e Guattari (1980) insistem que a historiografia nunca compreendeu o nomadismo, ainda mais quando diz respeito a mulheres "andariegas", cujas vidas errantes foram marcadas pelo signo da suspeição. No enclausuramento nômade dessas irmãs, os conventos assumem diferentes formas físicas e imaginárias, tornam-se castelos, bibliotecas, cavernas, casulos, árvores, apartamentos, aldeias, guetos e céus estrelados. Abstract: To investigate the relationship between female religious enclosure and displacement, this thesis presents a project to build an imaginary convent. With that in mind, we selected fragments of texts by nuns and former Catholic nuns in order to discuss the value of the spatial aspect in the ways of life and forms of expression of religious women. The space of the convent is usually associated with notions of rooting, solidity and sedentary lifestyle. In the traditional model, these are walled buildings that perform all the assumptions that guide the category of total institutions (GOFFMAN, 1961). However, the adventurous life of these nuns destabilizes homogenizing models, opening up possibilities for confronting stereotyped narratives. Deleuze and Guattari (1980) insist that historiography has never understood nomadism, even more so when it concerns "andariegas" women, whose wandering lives were marked by the sign of suspicion. In the nomadic enclosure of these sisters, the convents assume different physical and imaginary forms, it becomes castles, libraries, caves, cocoons, trees, apartments, villages, ghettos and starry skies.
