Resumo: O artigo apresenta reflexões sobre o movimento de organização do ensino técnico profissional no Brasil a partir do início do século XX. Para configurarmos este movimento, destacamos a figura de Roberto Mange, um dos idealizadores das escolas do SENAI. O início do século XX remonta às ideias de modernidade, e Mange reflete sua formação na organização das escolas senasianas. Apresentamos Roberto Mange como um intelectual de seu tempo, destacando-o como intelectual do ensino profissional visto o seu engajamento político, cultural e científico no campo do ensino industrial. Este trabalho discute parte da trajetória de ensino concebida por Roberto Mange para as escolas do SENAI. Roberto Mange trouxe para o SENAI sua longa experiência como diretor do IDORT e como professor de engenharia mecânica na escola politécnica, e sua enorme bagagem intelectual, com teorias sobre métodos adequados para a formação e socialização dos industriários aprendizes. Abstract: The article presents reflections on the movement of organization of professional technical education in Brazil from the beginning of the 20th century. To configure this movement, we highlight the figure of Roberto Mange, one of the creators of SENAI schools. The beginning of the 20th century dates back to the ideas of modernity, and Mange reflects his training in the organization of schools in Senas. We present Roberto Mange, as an intellectual of his time, we highlight him as an intellectual of professional education given his political, cultural and scientific engagement in the field of industrial education. This work discusses part of the teaching trajectory conceived by Roberto Mange for SENAI schools. Roberto Mange brought to SENAI his long experience as director of IDORT and as a professor of mechanical engineering at the polytechnic school, and his enormous intellectual baggage, with theories on suitable methods for training and socializing industrial apprentices.
