Resumo: Este artigo se propõe a sustentar a hipótese de que um grande personagem da literatura brasileira - a saber: Cara-de-Bronze, de Guimarães Rosa - é construído com notas do que as variegadas culturas têm atribuído ao Absoluto, à Divindade. Isto não implica que tal personagem seja a encarnação do divino na ficção, mas que possui traços, perfeições que encontramos na caracterização do Absoluto. Abstract: This paper proposes to support the hypothesis that a major character in Brazilian literature - namely: Cara-de-Bronze, by Guimarães Rosa - is built with notes than the variegated cultures have attributed to the Absolute, the Godhead. This does not imply that this character is the incarnation of the divine in fiction, but it has features, which perfections found in the characterization of the Absolute.
