Abstract: Negroponte [1996. Being digital (1st ed.). New York, NY: VintageBooks] discusses the migration television might take from its air-based broadcasting to the digital environment. This paper takesinto consideration the exercise in futurology made by Negroponte[1996. Being digital (1st ed.). New York, NY: Vintage Books] as aninspiration to discuss which Internet TV models are currentlyadopted in Brazil. They are studied in terms of the platforms usedand the nature of the channels available. Results show that anumber of devices can be used for Internet TV; some channels areredundant, since they are present in more than one context.There are a number of foreign (broadcasting in their ownlanguage) and Brazilian channels that seem to be exclusive ineach device. Due to the price of some devices, as well as someissues regarding connectivity in Brazil, some platforms seem tolack local production
