Resumo: Essa pesquisa busca analisar o fotolivro "Amazônia", publicado em 1978 pela editora Praxis, de autoria dos fotógrafos Claudia Andujar e George Love. Ela se divide em três partes, sendo na primeira apresentado os históricos pessoais e profissionais de ambos artistas, procurando entender o início de suas carreiras no campo da fotografia e as contribuições de ambos no campo editorial das revistas "ilustradas" brasileiras. A segunda parte analisa a edição especial sobre a Amazônia, publicada em 1971 da Revista Realidade: publicação chave para entender o contexto e de como as imagens que compõem "Amazônia" foram criadas. A terceira parte foca na análise do fotolivro "Amazônia", buscando bordas de contato entre: o projeto gráfico do livro, a poética pretendida por seus autores, um estudo epistemológico de como Andujar e Love operaram seus aparatos fotográficos para criar as imagens de "Amazônia" e as relações destas imagens com a cosmogonia Yanomami Ver menos

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the photobook "Amazônia", published in 1978 by Praxis, by photographers Claudia Andujar and George Love. It is divided into three parts, the first of which presents the personal and professional backgrounds of both artists, seeking to understand the start of their careers in photography and their contributions to the editorial field of Brazilian "illustrated" magazines. The second part analyzes the special issue on the Amazon, published in 1971 in Revista Realidade: a key publication for understanding the context and how the images that make up "Amazônia" were created. The third part focuses on the analysis of the photobook "Amazônia", looking for points of contact between: the graphic design of the book, the poetics intended by its authors, an epistemological study of how Andujar and Love operated their photographic apparatus to create the images of "Amazônia" and the relationship between these images and Yanomami cosmogony Ver menos
