O artigo se debruça sobre a figura do artista americano Andy Warhol, através de dois aparecimentos de sua figura em obras de outros dois artistas, seja na forma de citação direta ou de relação subliminar: o diretor de teatro Romeo Castellucci e o dramaturgo alemão Heiner Müller. No primeiro caso, a figura de Warhol aparece personificada em um dos atores da peça Inferno, parte da adaptação teatral d’A divina comédia de Dante realizada por Castellucci no Festival de Avignon; no segundo Warhol figura como espectro da “máquina” desejada enquanto figura corporal pelo ator-Hamlet de Hamlet-máquina,. Pretende-se com esse estudo refletir sobre qual a transformação no imaginário cultural operada pelo artista no que diz respeito às imagens de corpo e objetificação corporal, seja através de sua produção ou da própria constituição de sua imagem – fenômenos interligados

This article focuses on the figu-re of the American artist Andy Warhol, through two appearances of his figure in the works of two artists, whether in the form of direct quotation or subliminal relationship: the theater director Romeo Castellucci and the German playwright Heiner Müller. In the first case, Warhol’s figure appears personified in one of the actors of the play Inferno, a stage adap-tation of Dante’s Divine Comedy perfor-med by Castellucci in Avignon Festival; the second figure Warhol spectrum as the “machine” as desired body figure by actor - Hamlet Hamlet - machine. The aim of this study is to reflect on which changes in cultural imagination are ope-rated by the artist in regard to images of the body and its objectifications, either through their production or creation of its own image - interconnected pheno-mena
