Resumo: A pesquisa discute o conceito de sentimentos em D.W. Winnicott ao longo da linha do amadurecimento emocional. Este tema nunca foi antes trabalhado de forma sistemática pela literatura especializada. Metodologicamente foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica em toda obra centrando a busca no verbete sentimento e conceitos associados sejam humor, estado emocional, temperamento, senso e a variedade de sentimentos diretamente encontrados, entre os principais: amor, raiva, medo e tristeza. A pesquisa foi divida em duas instâncias: a apresentação do conceito de sentimentos cotejando-se a diversidade etiológica na linha temporal do amadurecimento e em termos da articulação de sua participação na díade saúde/doença e na clínica. Sob o primeiro aspecto, a tipologia dos sentimentos refere-se às origens atreladas às etapas do processo de amadurecimento emocional, que compreende contextos distintos de relações interpessoais entre a criança e a mãe, adiante incluindo pai, família e sociedade, sejam estes da dependência absoluta, dependência relativa, formação triangular e assim por diante rumo a conquista da independência relativa vigente até o final da vida. Os vários tipos de sentimentos configuram-se em sentimentos inicialmente relacionados à sobrevivência subjetiva e sedimentação da identidade, adiante somando-se aos sentimentos afetivos e morais como base para à socialização e contribuição à sociedade. No aspecto clínico, destaca-se na saúde a riqueza e flexibilidade dos sentimentos como resultados semânticos pelas vivências apoiadas equanimemente na tendência a integração inata pari passu aos cuidados recebidos do ambiente. Interrupções na continuidade do desenvolvimento emocional derivam de falhas e implicam em problemas maturacionais que são comunicados por padrões recalcitrantes ou ausência de sentimentos. Estes devem ser considerados como material diagnóstico para orientação da práxis. Abstract: This research discusses the concept of feelings in D. W. Winnicott along the line of emotional maturation. This topic has never been systematically addressed by specialized literature. Methodologically, a bibliographical review of Winnicott¿s oeuvre was performed, focused on the word "feeling," on related notions (e.g., mood, emotional state, temperament and sense) and on a gamut of specific feelings, including love, anger, fear and sadness. The research was divided in two instances, namely, the presentation of the concept of feeling through an analysis of the etiological diversity of the maturation timeline, and the articulation of its presence in the health/illness dyad and in clinical practice. In the first instance, the typology of feelings embraces the origins of the various stages of the emotional maturation process ¿ which comprises distinct contexts of interpersonal relations between the child and the mother (and later include the father, family and society), whether of absolute dependence, relative dependence, triangular formation and so on ¿ that lead to the achievement of the relative independence that will remain operative until the end of one¿s life. The various types of feelings encompass those initially related to subjective survival and the consolidation of identity, and, subsequently, the affective and moral feelings as the basis for sociability and one¿s contributions to society. In health, clinically speaking, the wealth and flexibility of feelings emerge as semantic results of life experiences rooted equanimously and concomitantly in the innate tendency toward integration and in the nurturing received from the environment. Interruptions in the continuity of emotional development derive from flaws and imply maturational problems, which are conveyed by recalcitrant patterns or absence of feelings, and should be considered diagnostic material to guide clinical practice.
