Title: Spontaneous emission and qubit transfer in spin-1/2 chains

Abstract: The complex emitter dynamics expected to appear in structured reservoirs, such as bandgap photonic crystals, is shown to be observed via an implementation based on spin chains. We have demonstrated that such association yields new ways of engineering spin chains for efficient state transfers.
