dc.description.abstractThe aim of the present study is to investigate the influence of the secondary dendrite arm spacings (SDASs) and solute distribution on the corrosion resistance of hypoeutectic and hypereutectic Zn-Al alloys. It was found that the improvement of corrosion resistance depends on both the cooling rate imposed during solidification and the solute distribution effect on the consequent electrochemical behavior of solute and solvent. © ASM International.en
