Resumo: Este trabalho visa analisar sob o viés teórico da Análise do Discurso, tendo como base principal os trabalhos de Eni Orlandi e Michel Pêcheux, os discursos acerca das relações trabalhistas na era da globalização e do neoliberalismo, especialmente após a década de 1970. Trabalhamos com a hipótese de que há uma tentativa das empresas transnacionais, detentoras da maior parte do lucro gerado pelo trabalho global, de aplacar reivindicações por direitos e melhores salários por meio da consolidação da ideologia do trabalhador livre, aquele que depende do próprio esforço para atingir seu sucesso. Nesse sentido, a empresa seria o espaço onde o empregado colocaria em prática todo o seu talento e receberia em troca reconhecimento, status e ganhos financeiros. À primeira vista, isso tornaria as corporações capazes de incorporar a vida política e social dos sujeitos, ao dar a eles a impressão de que as trocas inerentes às relações trabalhistas são justas: o empregado cede seu talento e quem for mais talentoso, tem mais reconhecimento e ganha mais. Seria a chamada meritocracia. Esse discurso, que vai se cristalizando desde o começo da globalização, aparentemente colocaria o funcionário em um novo patamar: um de mais igualdade, alcançado por mérito. No entanto, as condições estruturais de produção no capitalismo, ou seja, a desigualdade entre quem cede a força de trabalho e quem paga por ela, seguem em operação. Esta nova ideologia do trabalhador livre funcionaria para reorganizar o trabalho em favor do próprio capital. Este discurso entra em cena para fazer com que o trabalhador se identifique com uma nova ideologia e seja mais inerte em relação ao valor de seu trabalho

Abstract: This work aims to analyze from the theoretical framework of discourse analysis, using as basis the work of Eni Orlandi and Michel Pêcheux, the discourses about labor relations in the era of globalization and neoliberalism, especially after the 1970s. We hypothesized that there is an attempt by transnational corporations, which hold most of the profit generated by the global work, to placate demands for rights and better wages of the workers through the consolidation of the free worker ideology, which implies that success depends on individual efforts. In this sense, the company would be the place where the employee puts into practice all his talent and receives in exchange recognition, status and financial gain. At first glance, this would make corporations able to incorporate the political and social life of individuals, by giving them the impression that the inherent labor relations changes are fair: employees provide their talent and those who are more talented have more recognition and earn more. That would be called meritocracy. This discourse, which will increasingly gain form since the beginning of globalization, seemingly puts the employee on a new level: one that is more equal, achieved by merit. However, the structural conditions of production in capitalism, that is, inequality between those who provide the work force and those who pay for it are still in operation. This new ideology of the free worker would reorganize work in favor of capitalism. These discourses are established in order to make employees less related to the value of their work
